![]() On our arrival, I went to confirm our dinner reservations made in advance and was told half of them were not reserved. ![]() From our doors left open by cleaning staff to hotel electronics being stolen from our room during our stay, it was one inconvenience after another. Pros: clean, beautiful resort with good food and responsive staff.Ĭons: the beach isn’t nice, the small pools are aesthetically pleasing but get too warm in the sun and while the staff individually are very helpful and responsive, they wouldn’t need to be if the resort was run properly. Sometimes a cheaper solution would end up costing more later on. The backhaul also takes sand away from the beach. We would strongly recommend the hotel invest in the proper equipment to clean up the beach as it is a beautiful beach. We have also seen the same machine used at Banyan Tree and Andaz in Mayakoba. Next door resort has the special machine that just rolled up the seaweeds. It doesn’t seem to be the most efficient equipment to do the job. We saw the hotel had a backhaul cleaning the seaweed on the beach. It seems that the seaweed was not cleaned for a long time that some of them are rotting and smelly. The beach is the most disappointing part of the resort. ![]() There was a sizable nail hanging on top of our balcony sliding door. The property shows its age, which is a bit surprising for an 6-year-old property. Unfortunately it doesn’t not seem to matter enough for them to give us a room that is further away from the wedding party. I specifically asked for a quiet room on my reservation and during check in. Due to a wedding on the first night, it was quite loud when we were trying to get some rest as we started our day at 3am. Check in was not the most satisfactory experience as room upgrade was not honored and nothing else was offered. ![]()
